What? Where are the cool rotating colors and the illustrations of pirate angels with sci-fi rayguns?
They’re gone for now. Every six weeks, my brain goes through this process:
- I should blog again. I started forever ago and there’s so much to say that can’t fit in 140 characters.
- But I’m a web designer, so my blog has to be in HTML5 and fully responsive, maybe use some fanciness like BackboneJS or LESS.
- I’ll start working on that theme right now.
- Uhm, it’s six weeks later and I haven’t blogged.
- Repeat.
As a potential solution, I’ve switched to the default theme—which happens to be both HTML5 and fully responsive—in order to jolt myself into some actual content creation. Once that’s got some momentum behind it (and my workload over at Diligent calms down), you’ll get your fancy new theme.
p.s. Thanks to Anil Dash and “The Web We Lost” for making clear the costs of my indolence.
